THE FUNDACION METAL ASTURIAS RECEIVES THE CESOL 2006 AWARD.
The Fundación Metal Asturias and REPSOL company have been awarded with CESOL prize “Outstanding Industrial Members” in 2006 edition.

The presentation took place during the VI European Conference of Welding (EUROJOIN-2006) that was celebrated for the first time in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and with participation of experts from 22 countries.

The Jury has specially valued the trajectory of the Fundación Metal Asturias in the professional training scope, specifically by the training delivery of Engineer and European Technician in Welding.

The Fundación Metal Asturias is the unique organization accredited for this training delivery in our region and with highest volume of training activity developed in Spain and Latin America. It holds the 20% of qualifications quota issued by the world-certificating organism.

ARGILAN AWARD
The Palace of Europe in Alava welcomed the presentation of “Enterprise, Employment and Gender Equality” Awards (June 16th, 2005), promoted by Vitoria City council in collaboration with the Woman Secretariat of the Basque Government and the Industrialists’ Association.  The Fundación Metal Asturias has been invited to present an initiative of great interest in this Community: “Campaign to Promote the Women Training and Insertion in the Sector Metal”.

The Basque Government and Enterprise Association agreed the interest on the initiative and to ask for Fundación Metal Asturias collaboration facing to start up the campaign in their territory.

OFFICIAL PRESENTATION OF FUNDACION METAL ASTURIAS
After the first year of management, the official presentation of Fundación Metal Asturias was celebrated in Avilés (Palacio de Ferrera Hotel, March 10th, 2004). The ceremony counted with the attendance of the Committee Board and an abundant political and enterprising delegation.
